Connect as a hiring team

This page is for hiring-team staff who are organization members. Candidates should start at the connection manual and choose a client page.

Even without connecting, decisions, inbox items, and reports still reach matchwire. Connecting is an optional step. The only thing connecting adds is that you can enter and leave the same room from the AI you normally use—it does not mean AI will move anything forward on your behalf.

The URL is different from the candidate URL

The connection flow is the same OAuth flow used by candidates—add the URL, sign in, and allow access in the browser—but the connection URL is different.

The candidate connection URL ends in /mcp.
The organization staff connection URL ends in /mcp/org.

The staff URL appears with a copy button on the matchwire Ready page at /org/ready and on the organization Connections screen at /org/connections. A staff AI cannot complete authorization if it is configured with the candidate /mcp URL.

Connect on claude.ai with a custom connector

In claude.ai, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Enter the organization connection URL ending in /mcp/org and add it.
On first use, the browser authorization page opens. Sign in to matchwire as staff and allow the connection.

Connect with Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Codex

The flow is the same as on the candidate client pages. Substitute the organization URL ending in /mcp/org wherever those steps ask for a connection URL.

Claude Code — you can also run claude mcp add --transport http matchwire ORGANIZATION_CONNECTION_URL in the terminal.
ChatGPT and Codex — add the URL to the shared MCP configuration over Streamable HTTP.

System credentials are outside this page

An in-house system that runs independently, such as an ATS integration or batch process, uses a scoped system credential instead of a staff member's OAuth connection. Issue and revoke those credentials from Connect an in-house system on the organization's Connections screen. This page does not turn that credential into a client setup step.
