Connect ChatGPT

Connect matchwire from the MCP server settings in ChatGPT desktop.

Even without connecting, decisions and reports still reach matchwire. Connecting is an optional step. The only thing connecting adds is that you can enter and leave the same room from the AI you normally use—it does not mean ChatGPT will move anything forward on your behalf.

Before you connect

  • Make sure you can sign in to matchwire.
  • Open Settings from the avatar menu. On the Connections tab, the Use it from your usual AI card shows a Connection URL ending in /mcp, with a copy button. Keep this environment-specific URL ready.
  • Who can see what is controlled on Privacy. What a connected AI may do is decided only by the authorization screen shown at the first browser authorization and by Settings → Connections, where you can disconnect at any time.

Steps

ChatGPT desktop and Codex share their MCP configuration. The current UI steps, configuration-file alternative, and first browser authorization are collected in Connect ChatGPT and Codex.

First thing to ask

After connecting, try:

Tell me what I can do with matchwire

Daily patrol

Once connected, you can hand ChatGPT a morning rhythm: one digest call reports what matchwire answered for you and what waits for you. See Daily patrol for the shape and the recurring-task setup.
